Liquid agent based on bacterial α-amylase for de-sizing of textile materials.

Advantages

• provides fast and complete decomposition of starch sizing with water soluble substances formation;

• does not damage textile fibers, interacting only with starch size;

• has high stability in hard water;

• applied in periodic and semi-continuous processes;

Composition

Amylase, purified water, calcium chloride, glycerine, tare preservative.

Mechanism of action

ENZYTEX AT hydrolyses α-1,4-glycoside bonds of starch, which is broken down to soluble dextrines and oligosaccharides and easily removed from the fabric surface by water.

Efficiency

ENZYTEX AT is used in the processes of de-sizing of textile materials to remove starch size and preparation of fabric for further process operations (boiling, blanching, painting).

Resistance to:
Hard water	good, calcium and manganese ions serve as amylase activators
Metal cations	bad, cations of heavy metals significantly reduce amylase activity
Acids / alkali	stable at pH from 4.5 to 7.5 optimal pH value 5.5–6.5
Processing temperature	working range 50–98 °C optimal range 60–98 °C
