Mechanism of action
Chlorhexidine bigluconate included in Lactoseptin DIP 25 has antiseptic properties: it effectively destroys bacteria on the surface of milk tube skin, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Mycoplasma spp., and prevents them from entering the milk tube channel.
The mechanism of action is defined by the interaction between the positively charged molecule of chlorhexidine bigluconate and the negatively charged surface of the bacterial cell. Chlorhexidine bigluconate is adsorbed on the surface of the cell membrane of microorganism sensitive to it with pronounced adsorption to certain phosphate-containing components. Cationic molecules of chlorhexidine bigluconate bind anionic compounds and carboxylic groups of proteins. It reduces permeability of cytoplasmic membranes, which causes loss of potassium ions, phosphate ions and protons, retardation of breathing processes and transport of substances, changes contents, metabolism and osmotic activity of ferments. Crystallization of the membrane occurs, which leads to loss of its structural integrity and loss of intracellular substance and causes precipitation or coagulation of bacterial cytoplasm with reduction of loss of components through the membrane. These processes cause death of bacterial cells.
Glycerine improves elasticity and eliminates dryness of skin. Due to the ability to fill small micro-cracks with moisture, it prevents dust particles and microorganisms from entering the upper skin layers, protecting the epidermis from inflammation and irritation.
Lanoline moisturizes the skin perfectly, forming a protective film which makes it possible to avoid loss of moisture. It makes skin surface soft and smooth. It also aids healing of micro-injuries and micro-cracks emerging under the effect of vacuum on the milk tube.
Allantoin included in the agent stimulates recovery of the epidermis, increases smoothness, aids skin healing, restores barrier properties of the skin and has soothing, anti-irritation and protective effect.
How to use
Lactoseptin DIP 25 is used for processing for the purpose of hygienic care of the skin of udder milk tubes and prevention of caked udder in animals.
Increased individual sensitivity of the animal to components of the agent is a contraindication for use of Lactoseptin DIP 25.
Lactoseptin DIP 25 is applied on the skin of milk tubes upon completion of milking, immediately after removal of the milking machine from the udder by placing the milk tube into the disinfection container. Processing must ensure complete wetting of the udder tube with the agent. After work, it is recommended to wash the container for the agent thoroughly with warm water.
Precautions
No side effects or complications are usually observed in case of application of Lactoseptin DIP 25 in accordance with this instruction.
Lactoseptin DIP 25 shall not be mixed with other chemical substances. No data on incompatibility of Lactoseptin DIP 25 with other chemical substances and feed supplements are available.
The animal products obtained after the usage of Lactoseptin DIP 25 can be used for feeding purposes without restrictions.
Safety interval
Terms of slaughter of animals for meat production, use of milk and other animal farming products after use of the agent are not limited.
Shelf life
Useful life of the agent on condition of compliance with storage conditions in the factory package is 1 year.
