Vitamin A is included in the group of fat-soluble vitamins and is a product of β-ionone.

Vitamin A takes part in many biochemical processes and is important for the process of growth, development of the skeleton and fertility of animals. A1 (retinol) is the most widely found and biologically active form of vitamin A. It is found in products of animal origin only.

The main functions of vitamin A in the body include:

Vitamins of group K are fat-soluble and widely found in nature. Menadione (vitamin K3) is the most important as a feed additive.
